Social Economic Empowerment
We equip vulnerable mothers with holistic tools to exit cycles of poverty. Our mothers are the pillars of our communities fighting everyday to provide for their families.
Educational Support
Our mothers may have limited literacy, but their determination to educate their children is boundless. We provide them support to overcome the educational obstacles they face.
Improving Health
A healthy body and mind are essential to negating multi-dimensional poverty. We take health services closer to the vulnerable communities through our Mobile Medical & Health Education program.

After dropping out of school and struggling to provide for four children through odd jobs, I still lived below $1.90 a day. Everything changed when Kitibwa Restoring Hope Foundation’s Nzuno woman capacity-building program introduced me to savings, boosted my confidence, and inspired me to join Sinza Savings Club and start a stable poultry and goat-rearing business. With the income generated and the support of the Nzuno alumni network, I now own two goats and 20 chickens, and I work alongside the foundation to uplift other vulnerable community members.

Initially overwhelmed by her bedridden husband’s hospital bills and her four children dropping out of school, she struggled to support them on only $1 a day as a waitress. Through the Kitibwa Restoring Hope Foundation, she discovered her potential, learned vital business and home management skills, and started a profitable jackfruit vending business, earning $2.50 a day. Now, she is expanding her income by learning tailoring and hopes to uplift other vulnerable community members by sharing her newly acquired skills.

Irene, a mother of three, faced eviction and dire financial struggles during the COVID-19 lockdown but received critical support, including a savings box and initial capital, from Kitibwa Restoring Hope Foundation. With the help of business skills learned in Nzuno classes, she expanded her charcoal venture from a single bag to over five, eased her family’s financial burdens, and graduated in December 2023. She continues saving through Sinza Savings Club, plans to resume her cassava chip-frying business, and aspires to become a great businesswoman for the sake of her children’s future.
